This round yoga bolster in black is the colour we sell most of. It’s 70cm long and 24cm across, filled with cotton batting around a stable centre, so it holds its shape when you lie on it. The microfibre cover zips off for the washing machine and there’s a handle for carrying it to class.
It suits restorative and yin yoga, meditation and the last few minutes of any class when you want to lie down with some support. Black is a practical choice for studios and shared spaces, where the same props get used by a lot of people.

How to use it
The simplest use is under the knees in savasana. With the bolster across your mat under the backs of your knees, your legs relax and the lower back can rest closer to the floor.
For a supported chest opener, sit with your back to one end of the bolster and lie back so it runs along your spine from the lower back to the head. Let your arms rest out to the sides. If your chin tips up, put a folded blanket under your head. A round bolster lifts you higher than a flat one, so this pose feels quite open. Try a few breaths first and come off it if your lower back complains.
You can also sit on the bolster for meditation, straddling it with your knees on the floor either side, or sit on one end with your legs crossed.
Care
Unzip the cover and machine wash it on a gentle cycle, then let it air dry before putting it back on. The inner doesn’t go in the wash. Spot clean it with a damp cloth if needed and let it dry fully.
