Round Bolster Purple

Our purple round yoga bolster is 70cm long and 24cm in diameter, a size that fits under the whole length of your spine or across both knees. It’s filled with cotton batting around a stable centre and weighs 1.4kg. Purple is our second most popular colour in this bolster, after black.

The soft microfibre cover zips off so you can wash it, and a carry handle makes it easy to take to class or tuck away after practice.

How to use it

Reclined bound angle is the classic bolster pose. Sit with your back against the short end, bring the soles of your feet together and let your knees drop out to the sides. Lie back along the bolster. If your knees are a long way off the floor, rest each one on a folded blanket or a block.

In pigeon pose, put the bolster lengthways under your front shin and hip, or under your chest if you fold forward. It keeps the front hip from sinking and gives you somewhere to rest your upper body.

You can also use it for a supported bridge. Lie on your back with your knees bent, lift your hips and slide the bolster underneath across the mat. For many people 24cm is a lot of lift, so turn it lengthways or swap to a lower prop if it feels too high.

Care

Unzip and machine wash the cover on a gentle cycle, then air dry it. The filled inner isn’t washable, but a damp cloth takes care of most spills.

The lilac round bolster is a softer shade of the same thing, and the rectangular bolster in purple is lower and flatter. You’ll find both in our yoga bolsters and cushions.
