The 65cm Avec yoga exercise ball is the standard adult size, for people about 165cm to 185cm tall. It’s part of Avec’s commercial range and comes in red, black or blue.
The ribbed PVC has a matte finish that grips skin and hands well, so the ball stays put when you’re pressing into it. It keeps its shape under moving loads, which makes it a steady base for core work.

How to use it
Most people buy a 65cm ball for core training. A forearm plank on the ball is harder than one on the floor because you have to keep it from rolling. Crunches with the ball under your lower back give you more range than floor crunches, and a pike or knee tuck with your shins on the ball works the whole front of the body.
You can also sit on it at a desk for part of the day, or use it with a balance disc or medicine ball for harder routines. If you share the ball with someone shorter, the 55cm Avec ball may suit them better. For the full height chart, see our Swiss ball size guide.

Inflating and care
Pump it most of the way, wait a day for the PVC to stretch, then top it up to 65cm, checking against a mark on the wall. Wipe it with a damp cloth and mild soap after sweaty sessions. Keep it out of direct sun and off rough ground, and store it away from heaters.

Laura –
Found it extremely difficult to blow up, lucky I had a straw type thing from a different ball to help. Wish it had come with instructions on how much to inflate to etc but otherwise, now it’s blown up, very sturdy ball! Using it for baby positioning and in labour shortly – already serving its purpose 🙂
