Yoga Bolster Rectangle Blue

Blue is the colour people pick most often in our rectangular yoga bolster. It’s 66cm long, 26cm wide and 15cm high, with cotton batting under a microfibre cover, and it weighs 1.3kg. The shape is flat on top and bottom, which makes it easy to sit on as well as lie over.

You can take the cover off to wash it, and there’s a handle for carrying it around.

How to use it

Sitting cross-legged on the floor for any length of time is hard on the hips if they sit lower than the knees. Sit on the front edge of the bolster instead and let your knees drop toward the floor. 15cm of height is enough for many people; if your knees still sit high, add a folded blanket on top.

For kneeling poses, stand the bolster on its long edge between your feet and sit back onto it. This takes your weight off your heels and ankles in hero pose or a kneeling meditation.

It also works well in supported child’s pose. Kneel with your knees wide, lay the bolster lengthways between them and fold forward to rest your chest on it, head turned to one side.

At the end of practice, move it under your knees for savasana.

Care

The cover comes off for the washing machine. Use a gentle cycle and hang it to dry. Spot clean the inner with a damp cloth and let it dry completely before the cover goes back on.
