How to use it
Pilates and barre teachers use a small soft ball like this in many ways. Tuck it under your lower back for supported curl-ups, squeeze it between your knees in bridges, or hold it between your ankles for leg lifts. You can rest your calves on it, too, or hold it overhead in roll-downs to keep your arms long.
How firm you make it is up to you. Blow it up with the straw until it holds its shape but still squashes a little under pressure. A softer ball is kinder under the spine, and a firmer one gives more resistance when you squeeze it.
We sell mini Pilates balls in 20, 25 and 30cm. The 20cm size is the easiest to hold between your ankles or in one hand, which is why it’s the one most people start with. If you want more height under your back, go for a 25cm or 30cm ball.

Care
Wipe it clean with a damp cloth and let it dry. Keep it away from sharp objects and heat, including a hot car. If you’re storing it for a while, let out some air.

The pictures show very accurately how the ball looks, with these flowery rings, though I would not have expected it to have such a fancy pump to fill the ball up with a metal entrance (deflation only possible with the pump). And the pink ball, as the picture shows is without rings and only has a straw to pump up. Which actually works great: the green one is more robust in the sense that the kids cannot just pull out and deflate the ball, where the pink one is great for travelling, inflate/deflate very fast, even without straw, just pull the plastic plug out.
