Pilates Balls

Our Pilates balls are small, soft inflatable balls, 20cm to 30cm across, used in mat Pilates and barre classes and at home. People tuck one under the lower back for curl-ups or squeeze it between the knees in a bridge. There are smooth and non-slip finishes in several colours.We also stock weighted toning balls in 1kg and 2kg, which you hold in your hand to add some load to arm work and roll-ups.

A 20cm ball is the easiest size to hold between your ankles or in one hand, and it's the size we sell most of. The 25cm and 30cm balls give you more lift under your back and sit wider between the knees. Most people keep a mini ball a little soft so it moulds under the spine.

The Bloom 1kg ball is 12cm across, with a soft, textured PVC shell filled with iron sand. The LiveSport toning balls come in 1kg and 2kg and are sold singly, so order two if you want one for each hand.

What size Pilates ball is best to start with?

If you're not sure, start with 20cm. It fits between the knees or ankles and in one hand. Go for 25cm or 30cm if you want more height under your lower back or hips.

How do you blow up a mini Pilates ball?

The Bloom balls come with an inflation straw, and some also come with a hand pump. Inflate the ball until it holds its shape but still gives a little when you press it.

Are the toning balls sold in pairs?

The LiveSport 1kg and 2kg toning balls are sold one at a time. Buy two if you want to work both arms together.
