Yoga Strap Violet 240cm

The violet yoga strap is a 240cm Salute The Sun strap in cotton and nylon webbing with a metal D-ring. It has 6 reviews, all 5 stars, and it’s a good strap for working on the hips and the front of the thighs.

The webbing is 3.8cm wide and there’s enough length to hold a foot behind you with the strap over your shoulder.

How to use it

For the front of the thigh and hip, come into a low lunge with your back knee on the mat. Loop the strap around the back ankle, take it over the same shoulder and hold it with both hands. Walk your hands down the strap to draw your heel towards your seat, keeping your hips moving forward.

In pigeon pose, try the same thing with the back foot. The strap lets you reach the foot without twisting your chest away from the front.

For the outer hip, lie on your back, loop the strap around one foot and hold it in the opposite hand. Let the straight leg cross over your body towards the floor, keeping the other shoulder down.

It still does the everyday jobs too. In a seated forward fold, loop it around the soles of both feet with an end in each hand and walk your hands along it as you fold.

The D-ring makes an adjustable loop: thread the end through both rings, back through the inner one, and pull.
