The Wilderness candle smells like a walk in the bush: pine needles, tall cedar and the earthy smell of moss after rain. It’s our woodiest scent, with spearmint and spruce at the top and cedarwood at the base. Like the rest of this range it’s handcrafted in New Zealand from soy wax and scented with essential oils and fragrances.
It has four reviews averaging 4.75 out of 5. It comes in a small 70g size with about 20 hours of burn time, or a medium 150g size with about 40 hours.

Who it suits
People who don’t like sweet or floral candles usually get on with this one. It works in a lounge, a study or a bach, and makes a good present for trampers and anyone who’d rather be outdoors.
How to use it
For the first burn, keep it lit until the wax has melted all the way across. Trim the wick to about 5mm before you light it each time after that, and keep it out of drafts.
Care
Use a heat-safe surface, keep it away from children, pets and anything flammable, and never leave it burning unattended.
