The Salute The Sun cork yoga mat with alignments has a natural cork top on a sponge rubber base, with alignment markings across the surface to guide where your hands and feet go. It’s 183cm long, 66cm wide and 4mm thick, and weighs 2.85kg. The cork gives firm, textured grip that tends to improve as it gets a little damp, so it suits hot classes as well as Ashtanga, Hatha, Vinyasa flow and Pilates.

Who it suits
This is a solid studio-style mat for people who like a firm, close-to-the-floor feel. At 4mm you get a steady base in balances with some cushioning from the rubber. It’s 5cm wider than a standard 61cm mat, which gives your hands a little more room in wide stances and side-lying work.
The alignment markings help beginners find consistent hand and foot placement, and they give experienced students a quick visual check in poses like downward dog, warrior two and triangle.
2.85kg is a fair weight to carry. It’s comfortable in a bag or strap for a short walk to class, and at 66cm it sits right at the width limit of our canvas mat bags. The cork mat bags suit it too if you want the carrier to match the mat.
If you’d prefer more cushioning, the 6mm cork yoga mat with alignments is thicker and a little narrower.
Care
Wipe the cork with a damp cloth after practice. Roll it cork side out so the surface doesn’t crease, and let it dry flat first if it’s damp. Keep it out of long spells of direct sun.
