This is our longest yoga mat: a high density mat that’s 200cm long, 61cm wide and 5mm thick, in black. Most mats are 183cm, which leaves taller people with their head or feet off the end in lying poses. The extra 17cm fixes that. The mat is firm and textured for traction, so hands and feet stay put, and it weighs about 3kg.

Who it suits
If you’re over about 180cm tall, a standard mat is often too short. In corpse pose your heels or head end up on the floor, and in downward dog your hands and feet sit right at the edges. A 200cm mat gives you room at both ends.
The high density build suits people who like a firm, steady surface. You feel planted in standing balances and arm balances, and the mat doesn’t flatten under your hands. It gives less cushioning than a soft foam mat, so use a folded blanket under your knees for long kneeling holds.
At about 3kg, it’s best kept at home or at the studio. Carrying it to class every day gets tiring.
The 183cm version is available in black and red.
Care
Wipe it with a damp cloth after use, and add a little mild soap for a deeper clean. Let it dry fully before rolling, and keep it out of direct sun.

I am 183 cm (6 foot) and searched everywhere for a long yoga mat so I wouldn’t go off the ends when doing sun salutations-this mat is ideal! Would have loved more colour options, and it feels a little plasticy, but much better than my old one.
