Who it suits
Mixed-ability classes where you want one band that works for most people: hard enough for bridges, clamshells and side steps, and light enough for newer members to keep good form. Many teachers start a class set with medium and add a few light and heavy bands for the people at either end.
Care
Store the bands out of direct sun and away from heaters, and check each one for nicks before class. Replace any band that is torn or has thin spots. They are natural latex, so keep a latex-free option for anyone with an allergy.
