The trigger point hex release ball is a 6cm silicone massage ball shaped to mimic the bent fingers of a massage therapist. It’s one of our most popular massage balls, with 12 reviews averaging 4.8 stars. It weighs just 57g, so it goes anywhere.
The knuckle-like shape gives a more pointed pressure than a smooth ball of the same size. People use it on the neck, shoulders, hands, feet, calves, hamstrings, the adductors (inner thighs), the hip flexors and the TFL at the outside front of the hip.

How to use it
For the neck and shoulders, stand with your back to a wall and place the ball between the wall and the muscle at the top of the shoulder. Lean in gently and move slowly.
For the hip flexors or TFL, lie face down with the ball under the front or outer front of the hip. Support your weight on your forearms and let yourself sink onto the ball a little at a time.
For the calves and hamstrings, sit on the floor or a firm chair with the ball under the leg and shift your weight across it.
For the feet, roll it under the arch while sitting. For the hands, press your palm into it on a table.
Pause on a tight spot for 20 to 30 seconds and breathe. The pointed shape is more intense than a round ball, so start with less weight. We can email you an illustrated user guide with tips for the back, glutes, quads, calves and feet on request.
Care
Wash it in warm soapy water or wipe it with a damp cloth, then let it dry.
For a smooth ball, see the lacrosse massage ball. Our foam rolling guide has more positions, and the rest of the range is in our foam rollers and massage balls.

Wow, what a fantastic little massager. Have been looking for something like this for years, that isn’t painful to hold and delivers instant relief. I bought two, one for myself and one for my partner My partner loves it for his jaw and hand tension and finds it very useful as he works a very physical job, and I love it for massaging my hands and forearms to relieve tension as I am a pianist. Would recommend this product to absolutely everyone! Such an affordable gadget and shipping took less than 48 hours! I ordered last minute hoping it would arrive before my partner went out of town for a job and it did! 10/10 product!!
