This cork yoga mat with alignments has a natural cork top on a sponge rubber base, with alignment markings to help you set your hands and feet in the right place. It’s 181cm by 61cm and 6mm thick. The cork surface gives firm, textured grip, and people use it for all kinds of practice, from Ashtanga, Hatha and Vinyasa flow to hot classes and Pilates.
13 customers have rated it, with an average of 4.5 stars. At 181cm it’s a couple of centimetres shorter than most of our full-length mats, which only very tall people are likely to notice.

How to use it
Lay the mat cork side up. Use the alignment markings as reference points: hands the same distance from the centre in downward dog, front heel lined up with the back arch in warrior poses, feet an even width apart in mountain pose. Once your spacing becomes habit, the markings act as a quick check.
Cork tends to grip better as it gets slightly damp, which makes this mat a good choice for sweaty classes. On a cold, dry day, a light mist of water helps it grip from the start.
6mm of cork and rubber cushions kneeling and floor work on a hard surface while staying firm for standing poses. It suits all levels.
Care
Wipe the cork with a damp cloth after practice. Let it dry flat and roll it cork side out to avoid creasing the surface. Don’t soak it or leave it in direct sun for long periods.
A matching carrier is the cork yoga mat bag. For how cork compares with jute, PU and TPE, read our guide on how to choose a yoga mat, or browse all our yoga mats.

Beautiful mat, supportive and not slippery. My favourite aspect is the cork used to make the mat, making it more friendly for the environment

Great service thank you

So far so good – I think I need to use it more to fully see if I like it but I really like the thickness as it helps with my knees, I love the cork and the design however in the grip section it might be a bit slipper for me, first time I tried it was very slippery but as I’ve used it more I think the “protective” layer is fading and I find more grip in it.

I am very happy with my purchase of this cork yoga mat. I find it difficult to find a mat that I do not slip on. My last mat was made of cork, and it was great, so I decided to get another cork mat and it has proven again to be the best non-slip choice for me. The mat is light, and the thickness makes for a more supportive practice on the hips and knees.
The one negative would be the design on this mat, purely an aesthetic point. Because you don’t get a full view of the mat in the pics on the website, it doesn’t show that it is not the pretty version on the other mats. It would have been nice for it to have the same pattern as the other alignment mats.

Arrived quickly and was exactly what I wanted

The mat had several creases in it and I send some pictures about this as at the price I felt there should not have been any. The mat is good, but I was disappointed that I received no reply.

I like the feel of the rubber and the alignments are useful. The light weight is important to me and outweighs the fact that being only 1kg suggests the base is a lighter synthetic backing like TPE, EVA foam, or thin plant-based foam instead of true natural rubber.
